The Rainbow Trout that we have raised are nearly ready to release! We have enjoyed seeing their development from the egg stage right up to their current miniature version of beautiful adult fish. On May 30th, we will follow the plans laid out for us by the Bow Habitat Station and journey to Millers Lake where we will look around to see that there are plants for them to hide in and we will check the water temperature, PH, oxygen levels, and turbidity (murkiness) to make sure they have the best chance to adapt and thrive. We estimate that we have about 30 fish to release and our students will be able to place them into the lake one by one.
